Saudi, Pakistan discuss Hajj 2025 preparations, strengthen inter-ministerial communication

ISLAMABAD, Sep 04 (APP): Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Badr on Wednesday held a virtual consultative meeting via Zoom with Secretary for Religious Affairs, Zulfiqar Haider to discuss the preparations for Hajj 2025 and review the arrangements made for the previous Hajj season.

During the meeting, two officials exchanged detailed views on the Saudi guidelines for Hajj and agreed on the need for effective awareness campaigns to prevent unauthorized entry into the sacred sites and curb illegal Hajj practices.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening and expediting the Saudi-Pakistani inter-ministerial communication to facilitate Hajj pilgrims.

The Secretary for Religious Affairs expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure the convenience and ease of pilgrims.

Zulfiqar Haider further revealed that the draft of the Hajj Policy 2025 has been prepared, and applications will be invited following its approval by the Cabinet. He assured that all Hajj arrangements will be completed according to the time-line set by Saudi guidelines.

Additionally, the Secretary highlighted that Hajj pilgrims will be informed about the direct contact and complaint numbers of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure their issues are addressed promptly.
