ISLAMABAD, Sep 16 (APP):An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday granted the post arrest bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in a case pertaining to attack on police personnel and violating the no-objection certificate for the public meeting.
ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqernain also granted pre-arrest bail to PTI leader Ali Bokhari and stopped the police from arresting him.
During the course of hearing, the prosecutor prayed the court to terminate the bail petitions and said that the punishment under the clauses of law applied in the first information report was three-year imprisonment.
To the court’s query, the prosecutor said that nothing had been recovered from the custody of the accused.
After hearing arguments, the court accepted the bails of the accused against surety bonds of Rs 30,000 each.
Those who were given bails included Sher Afzal Marwat, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Zain Qureshi, Ahmed Chatha, Aamer Dogar, Yousaf Khan, Naeem Ali Shah, Owais Hiader Jakhar, Shah Ahmed and Zubair Khan.
The police stations of Sangjani, Tarnool Noon and others have registered cases against the PTI leaders under anti terrorism laws.
