ISLAMABAD, Jul 10 (APP):In an unprecedented achievement, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recorded a revenue of 52 billion rupees for the financial year 2023-24, exceeding target by 23 per cent.
Under the leadership of Chairman CDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa and the strategic direction of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, innovative steps were implemented to boost revenue generation, its spokesman said on Wednesday.
This effort resulted in an exceptional collection of 7.9 billion rupees in May and June only.
He said the previous highest revenue collection was 47.6 billion rupees during the financial year 2021-22. For the financial year 2023-24, the revenue target was set at 41.8 billion rupees.
He stated that instead of selling assets, the CDA is exploring alternative sources of revenue to establish a financially stable institution.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated Chairman CDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa and his entire team for their diligent and passionate work over the past two months, which resulted in surpassing the revenue target.
He urged the team to maintain the same determination and focus on revenue generation in the current financial year.
